The Virgin's Son
THE VIRGIN’S SON
[Randy Wills / David DeLallo]

We know the story long ago
How one small child would change us so.
Through innocence and purity,
God’s love was born for you and me.
He held all power so peacefully,
Some came to see this mystery.
The one who made the stars and skies,
Had tears now forming in his eyes

CHORUS:
A prophet once foretold this day,
When God would come to us this way.
Our Savior’s life had just begun,
God’s perfect gift, the Virgin’s Son.

Now Mary sees her little one
She smiles upon God’s only Son
She lifts him from his bed of hay
To gently kiss his tears away.
Her love was pure and undefiled
For this was God’s own perfect child.
The star shined down upon the sight
For Mary’s love that Christmas night

CHORUS:
A prophet once foretold this day,
When God would come to us this way.
Our Savior’s life had just begun,
God’s perfect gift, the Virgin’s Son.

The mighty King has left his throne.
He’s come for us to bring us home.
Behold your God! Behold your King!
And listen to the angels sing!
Let all rejoice this holy day,
For God has come to us this way.
Now we are saved through this small One;
God’s perfect gift, the Virgin’s Son.
Let all rejoice this holy day,
For God has come to us this way.
We are forever saved by One;
God’s perfect gift, the Virgin’s Son.
God’s perfect gift, the Virgin’s Son.
