Red Velvet Rose
[ Cally Krallman / Randy Wills ]
Traveling back, from the town of Tralee…
Close to a hillside I just happened to see
A waterfall flowing, like a bright shooting star…
I decided to walk there, it wasn’t too far
From out of the mist came a beautiful girl…
With a red velvet dress and long golden curls
She looked like a rose…in cut crystal vase…
The blush of her cheeks, ‘gainst her lily white face
CHORUS:
I’ll never forget… my red velvet rose
Who vanished before me just like a ghost
She melted my heart when she smiled at me
My red velvet rose, now lives in my dreams
She gathered pink orchids, near the edge of the fall…
Our silence was broken by the night birds soft call
Twas not my intent to startle or scare…
Glancing up quickly, yes she saw me there
She raised her hand up, to her gentle sweet lips…
With a wisp of the breeze, she blew me a kiss
I closed my eyes and then opened them wide…
My beautiful maiden was no where in sight
CHORUS:
I’ll never forget… my red velvet rose
Who vanished before me just like a ghost
She melted my heart when she smiled at me
My red velvet rose, now lives in my dreams
I’ll never forget… my red velvet rose
Who vanished before me just like a ghost
She melted my heart when she smiled at me
My red velvet rose, now lives in my dreams
My red velvet rose, now lives in my dreams
